Carbon Capture Canada 2027: Edmonton's CCUS convention

Carbon Capture Canada is the country's national CCUS convention and the central meeting point for those delivering carbon capture, transport, storage, utilization and removal projects at scale. Held at the Edmonton Convention Centre, the 2027 edition runs from September 14 to 16, with the expo and conference across the first two days and site tours on the third. The strategic conference gathers policymakers, investors, project developers, technology providers, EPCs, Indigenous partners and international delegations to work through the questions that decide whether projects reach final investment decisions: bankability, regulatory certainty, shared transport and storage infrastructure, carbon markets and carbon removal markets. Across four knowledge bar theatres, technical experts deliver case studies and applied sessions on capture materials, solvents, subsurface design, measurement and verification, and project execution. The exhibition floor showcases the breadth of the CCUS value chain, from modular capture units and direct air capture to pipeline services, monitoring technology and storage hub developers. Alongside the programme, executive leadership roundtables, networking receptions, the awards gala and site tours create space for relationships that move projects forward. Edmonton sits at the heart of Canada's carbon management industry, surrounded by industrial emitters, storage geology and the engineering and construction capability that major CCUS projects depend on. Booking a hotel near the Edmonton Convention Centre puts attendees within walking distance of the venue and the downtown network used for meetings and evening events.
