Art Basel Miami Beach 2026 in Miami Beach: where to stay

Art Basel Miami Beach is the annual event that turns Miami into the epicenter of modern and contemporary art during the first week of December. Over 250 leading galleries from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa showcase works by established masters alongside emerging artists, spanning painting, sculpture, photography, installations, and digital art. The fair extends far beyond the convention center: throughout the week, satellite exhibitions, parallel fairs, museum openings, and private events unfold across Miami Beach, Wynwood, and the Design District, creating a unique artistic circuit. The fair attracts collectors, curators, museum directors, and art lovers from around the globe. For travelers, staying near the Miami Beach Convention Center means walking distance to the main sections, talks, and evening events. Hotel demand in the area spikes months in advance, so booking early is strongly recommended.
