ART3F Nord 2027 in Douai: contemporary art at Gayant Expo

ART3F NORD makes its Douai debut in February 2027 with a fair that deliberately sidesteps the usual art-world formality. Instead of the traditional gallery wall, visitors walk among stands where painters, sculptors and photographers are present in person, ready to talk about their work. It is designed as much for seasoned collectors as for anyone who simply wants to spend a few hours surrounded by art without feeling out of place. Gayant Expo, with its 7,000 m² hall, will host a line-up of artists and galleries vetted by an independent committee of art professionals. Emerging international voices sit alongside established names, and the atmosphere is kept deliberately relaxed: an all-day bar and restaurant, a terrace, live music at Friday's 6 pm opening and generous opening hours across the weekend. art3f has been running contemporary art fairs across France and Europe since 2012, and its model puts the buyer-artist conversation at the centre. Prices are accessible, styles are varied, and purchases are made directly with the exhibitor, with no fair commission on top. Works range from large-format painting to sculpture, photography and mixed media. For visitors coming from further afield, Douai is roughly an hour by train from Paris, Brussels and London, and the venue has around 2,400 parking spaces on site and nearby. It pairs easily with a weekend in the Hauts-de-France region.
