Asbestonomy 2026 in Rennes: the international asbestos congress

Asbestonomy brings together the global asbestos community once a year, and the 2026 edition lands in Rennes on 28–29 October at the Couvent des Jacobins. Health professionals, safety specialists, construction firms and remediation experts gather here to share practical knowledge on how to reduce asbestos exposure worldwide. The two-day programme blends plenary talks with working-group sessions organised around four tracks: human health, professional practice, environment and innovation. Delegates get first-hand access to the latest analytical methods, in-situ management and removal techniques, and an overview of how regulation is evolving across different markets. Scheduled right after BatiNovia, the event lets attendees pair a national view of the French market with the international expertise of the congress in a single trip. The day-and-a-half format is designed for peer-to-peer networking, exchanging best practice and building connections inside the Asbestonomer community. Staying near the Couvent des Jacobins will put you within walking distance of the venue, in the heart of Rennes' historic centre, so you can focus on the sessions rather than on commuting.
