Bologna Children's Book Fair 2027 in Bologna

Bologna Children's Book Fair (BCBF) is the world's leading professional gathering for publishing and content aimed at children and young adults. Every spring, publishers, literary agents, illustrators, authors and content developers from across the globe come to Bologna to trade rights, spot new talent, track emerging trends and forge international partnerships. The fair brings together three events under one roof: BCBF itself, BolognaBookPlus (BBPlus) for general adult trade publishing, and Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/Kids) for brand and property licensing across kids, teens and young adults. This convergence turns the exhibition centre into a truly global hub for rights, licensing and transmedia. The 64th edition runs from 5 to 8 April 2027 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre. Poland takes the role of Guest of Honour Country, with a rich programme of exhibitions and events both on the show floor and across the city. The experience spills out beyond the halls: Bologna hosts displays, talks and cultural initiatives that draw in the local community. Alongside the business side, BCBF hosts flagship awards such as the BolognaRagazzi Awards, the Illustrators Exhibition, the Bologna Licensing Awards and the Carla Poesio Prize, plus dedicated forums on translation, illustration and digital narratives. For anyone working in children's books and content, it is the must-attend appointment of the year.
