EUBCE 2027 in Reims: 35th European Biomass Conference

For more than three decades, EUBCE has been the annual meeting point for the global biomass community, with a scientific programme coordinated by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. The 2027 edition, the 35th in the series, takes place at the Centre des Congrès de Reims and blends plenary sessions, oral presentations, poster sessions and round tables with a technology exhibition linking academia, research institutes and industry. The programme spans the whole biomass value chain: from fundamental research and technology innovation through to industrial deployment, biofuels, hydrogen and sustainability policy. The exhibition floor is where technology providers, project developers and decision makers build partnerships and showcase solutions for European and international markets. Abstract submission for scientific and industrial innovation is open until 30 October 2026, and registration opens in December. Recent editions drew more than 1,400 delegates and 75 exhibitors, with a majority of attendees holding decision-making roles. For visitors travelling from outside France, staying in central Reims makes it easy to walk to the Centre des Congrès and explore the historic city centre, home to a UNESCO-listed cathedral.
