Expomascotas 2026 in Alicante: dog and companion animal fair

Expomascotas is the 14th edition of the Dog and Other Companion Animals Show, firmly established as Spain's most influential event in the pet sector. Over two days, the IFA-Fira Alacant venue brings together specialist shops, dog training and education schools, clubs, animal shelters and pet food brands. The event stands out for its high number of dogs entered in the canine exhibitions: more than 2,500 dogs from around 400 recognised breeds compete each year. The commercial area features over 70 stands offering products, services and information for companion animal care. In addition, the 8th Adoption Salon takes place, where more than 40 shelters present their animals on a large runway to encourage fostering or adoption. The fair also includes the 79th and 80th National and 45th International Dog Shows, along with demonstrations and educational talks. With over 12,000 visitors in its 2025 edition, Expomascotas appeals to both industry professionals and the general public interested in the world of pets.
