Extracon is the leading comics, games and pop culture gathering in north-eastern Italy. Over two days, the Pordenone exhibition centre opens its halls to a programme that blends comic art, video games, music, books and entertainment for all audiences. Inside the venue the layout is split into themed areas: an artist and signing area, video game and tabletop gaming zones, a live show stage, a cosplay section and a commercial hall with publishers, specialist retailers and merchandise stands. The organiser also runs hands-on activities and meet-and-greets with national and international guests. Because it caters to both trade professionals and the general public — including families — Extracon has become a weekend fixture for Friuli tourism and for visitors looking for hotels close to the Pordenone fairground.
