Annecy Animation Festival 2027: where to stay

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is widely regarded as the world's leading gathering for animated cinema. The 2027 edition runs from 15 to 18 June and brings together studios, directors, students and fans in the lakeside town of Annecy. Alongside the official competition — features, shorts, TV and commissioned films, graduation works and immersive pieces — the programme includes Work in Progress panels, masterclasses, signing sessions and exhibitions. The Mifa, the industry market held in parallel, connects buyers, producers and talent from around the globe. Because Annecy is compact, hotel availability tightens quickly once the Festival dates approach. Booking early is essential, with Bonlieu, the old town and lakefront properties offering the closest stays to the main venues.
