Every winter, Menton turns into a one-of-a-kind citrus stage. Now in its 93rd edition under the theme “Douce France”, the Lemon Festival fills the seaside town with monumental floats covered entirely in lemons and oranges, parading along the Corso circuit near the waterfront. The programme blends the classic Golden Fruit Parades on Sundays with the Night Parades on Thursdays, alongside the citrus-motif exhibition in the Biovès Gardens. Rounding out the experience are the Gardens of Light, a nocturnal sculptural lighting trail, plus a cultural circuit featuring the Orchid Show and Winter Garden and the local craft market. Each float is designed and built by local teams and requires months of work and tonnes of citrus fruit, making this festival a landmark of craftsmanship and horticulture in Europe. Advance booking is strongly recommended, as Corso capacity is capped and Menton draws heavy visitor traffic throughout the period. Events are spread between the Palais de l'Europe, the central gardens and avenues, with shuttle buses linking peripheral car parks to the venues.
