Bologna Children's Book Fair 2027: where to stay in Bologna

Every spring, Bologna turns into the global hub for children's and young adult publishing. Bologna Children's Book Fair (BCBF) gathers publishers, literary agents, illustrators, authors and licensing professionals from around the world to trade rights, spot emerging talent and track the trends shaping the industry. The 2027 edition marks the 64th instalment and runs alongside BolognaBookPlus, focused on general trade publishing, and the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids, dedicated to children's, teen and young adult brand licensing. Poland takes on the role of Guest of Honour Country, bringing a rich programme of exhibitions and events to both the fairgrounds and the city. The fair reaches well beyond its halls: exhibitions, talks and cultural projects spread across Bologna, turning the whole city into an extension of the event. Four packed days for trade professionals and for anyone drawn to the world of illustrated books.
