Great American Outdoor Show 2027 in Harrisburg: where to stay

The Great American Outdoor Show is North America's flagship gathering for hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. For nine days, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg hosts more than 1,000 exhibitors across 650,000 square feet: firearms manufacturers, archery brands, fishing tackle, boats, RVs, art and hundreds of outfitters and boat captains from around the globe. The schedule packs in seminars and live demos, the Pennsylvania Lumberjack Championships, the 3D Bowhunter Challenge, try-before-you-buy shooting lanes, the HAWG Tank fishing tank, Dock Dogs Big Air jumping contests and the Eddie Eagle Kid's Zone. Food is available throughout the venue, with a large cafe in the Shooting Sports Hall and several snack vendors in every exhibit hall. Run by the National Rifle Association of America and open to the general public, the show draws visitors from across the country. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, and out-of-town attendees typically stay at hotels close to the complex or in the Hershey area to take advantage of the free shuttles. Plan at least two days to cover all nine halls. Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest, so booking accommodation early is the best way to secure good rates during show week.
