Hashtag Festival 2026 in Bourg-en-Bresse: where to stay

Hashtag Festival returns to AinterExpo in Bourg-en-Bresse on 17-18 October 2026 for its sixth edition. It is the yearly meeting point for fans of video games, manga, anime, series, music and pop culture at large, with a programme blending guests, activities and a large exhibition space spread across three halls. Across the weekend the venue hosts more than 55 activities and nine themed areas. Visitors can wander through the anime & manga village, join the gaming zones, step into the cosplay area, browse stands run by shops, craftspeople and associations, and meet the many guests signing and hosting sessions. A catering area and a web & series village round out the offer. On Saturday 17 October doors are open from 10:00 to 19:00, while Sunday 18 October runs from 10:00 to 18:00. The event overlaps with the Salon de l'Etudiant in the same venue, so Saturday brings together student guidance and pop culture under one roof. For those travelling from outside Bourg-en-Bresse, the train station is just over an hour from Lyon or Geneva, and on Sunday a free shuttle links the station and AinterExpo every 20 minutes from 9:00 to 17:00. Organisers recommend staying in the city to make the most of both festival days.
