Idea Natale 2026 in Udine: Friuli's Christmas fair

Idea Natale is Friuli's flagship Christmas event: a four-day fair filling the halls of Udine e Gorizia Fiere with handicrafts, gift ideas, home decorations, toys and local specialities. It's the perfect outing for anyone hunting for inspiration, Christmas shopping and free family-friendly activities. The 2026 edition runs from Friday 13 to Monday 16 November in Torreano di Martignacco, just a short drive from central Udine. Beyond the exhibition area, the programme features events, workshops and displays such as the artistic nativity scenes that visitors vote on every year. If you plan to attend, book your accommodation early: hotels near the fairground fill up over the weekend. Staying in Udine or nearby lets you pair the fair with the historic centre, Friulian cuisine and the region's Christmas markets.
