Knit + Stitch London 2026: Where to Stay Near Alexandra Palace

Knit + Stitch London is the anchor event of the British craft calendar. Each October it brings more than 24,000 makers to Alexandra Palace for four days of shopping, learning and textile art. Over 200 exhibitors fill the halls — household yarn and fabric brands, sewing machine specialists, pattern houses and independent dyers — spread across dedicated areas including Yarn Village, Stitch Lane and the Merchandise zone. The 2026 edition runs Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 October. Doors open at 10:00 each day, with Sunday closing at 16:30. More than 250 hands-on workshops and classes run across all skill levels, led by internationally recognised tutors. Alongside the retail floor, the show hosts textile art exhibitions selected with the Embroiderers' Guild, a Graduate Showcase spotlighting emerging UK design talent, the Austen Tapestry installation and a Live Stage programme featuring contestants from Game of Wool and The Great British Sewing Bee. The Knit Lounge and Prosecco bar offer quieter spaces to recharge between halls. Alexandra Palace sits at the heart of a North London park, roughly 20 minutes from King's Cross. Free shuttle buses run from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations, and 1,400 pay-and-display parking spaces are available on site.
