Where to stay for Lab Innovations 2026 at NEC Birmingham

Lab Innovations is the annual meeting point for the UK laboratory community. Over two days at the NEC Birmingham, scientists, lab managers, R&D specialists and quality professionals gather to source new technology, attend free conference sessions and build working relationships with suppliers. The programme spreads 60+ speakers across five free-to-attend stages covering the issues shaping modern labs: sustainability and net zero, AI and automation, digitalisation, quality and compliance, and biotech and life sciences. Live demos, product launches and the Innovations Gallery let visitors get hands-on with the latest instruments, consumables, reagents and lab software. On the exhibition floor, 200+ suppliers span analysis, lab design, digital tools and operational support. The Meet the Distributor speed-pitching session, dedicated networking lounges and the Smart Badge system make it easier to compare solutions, swap contacts and form partnerships. The Lab Awards, held on the evening of 4 November, celebrate the sector's best work in innovation, sustainability and operational excellence. Lab Innovations is also co-located with Advanced Engineering and UK Metals, so a single badge opens the door to a wider industrial network. Entry is free for trade visitors aged 18 and over.
