MD&M South 2028 in Charlotte: Where to Stay

MD&M South 2028 brings the Southeast's largest advanced manufacturing gathering to Charlotte Convention Center on April 19-20. The show unites six specialized sectors—MedTech, Automation, Packaging, Design & Manufacturing, Plastics, and Powder & Bulk Solids—under one roof, giving engineers, plant executives, R&D teams, and quality specialists a single place to source components, compare suppliers, and move projects from concept to production. Attendees walk a floor built for hands-on discovery: medical device innovation, robotics and motion control, smart and sustainable packaging, injection molding and 3D printing, plus dry processing equipment. Conference tracks, keynotes, and show-floor education sessions run alongside peer-to-peer networking and a welcome reception, so teams can combine technical learning with relationship building. Charlotte is a natural host. North Carolina contributes roughly $128 billion in annual manufacturing output and holds the Southeast's biggest manufacturing workforce, with life-science investment topping $9.5 billion between 2020 and 2022. Visitors flying in will find the venue at 501 S College St in Uptown, walking distance from hotels, dining, and entertainment. If you are planning the trip, reserve accommodation early near the Charlotte Convention Center. Demand peaks during the two show days, and Uptown properties fill quickly once exhibitor blocks are released.
