Millévin 2026 in Avignon: the Côtes du Rhône new vintage festival

Millévin is Avignon's yearly street party for the new Côtes du Rhône vintage, always held on the third Thursday of November. The heart of the action is Place de l'Horloge, where the Bar à Vins marquee brings together growers, cellars and merchants from the appellation. In the morning, les Halles d'Avignon host a tasting-and-sale of the primeur wines; as evening falls, the square fills with concerts, entertainment and the colourful parade of local wine brotherhoods winding through the historic centre. Entry is free and visitors only pay for tastings, which gives the event its mixed crowd of trade professionals and wine-loving locals. Hotels around Place de l'Horloge and the Palais des Papes sell out that night, so early booking is strongly advised.
