PLATHINIUM is the biennial international meeting for the low-temperature plasma, coatings and thin-film community. Launched in 2019 after the merger of the CIP, ITFCP and MIATEC conferences, it has become a reference point where researchers, students and industrial partners exchange results at the interface of plasma science, materials and surface engineering. The scientific programme ranges from plasma diagnostics to thin-film deposition, surface functionalisation and nanostructures, with applications across microelectronics, automotive, aeronautics, energy, environment and biomedical fields. Tutorials, invited lectures, oral sessions and poster presentations are combined to encourage discussion and new collaborations. The exhibition area gives attendees direct access to vacuum equipment, instrumentation and process solutions from specialised suppliers. A social programme completes the experience and strengthens links between research groups and industry. The 2027 edition will take place at the Palais des Congrès d'Antibes-Juan les Pins, a privileged spot on the French Riviera between Nice and Cannes, ideal for combining scientific work with a Mediterranean stay.
