Proposte 2027 in Cernobbio: where to stay for the furnishing fabric fair

Proposte is the reference meeting point for the furnishing fabric and curtain industry worldwide. Its 34th edition will take place from 4 to 6 May 2027 at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como. The show is strictly trade-only: only direct producers of upholstery fabrics, curtains, trimmings and wall coverings are allowed to exhibit, which makes it a privileged meeting place between textile manufacturing excellence and design culture. Being close to the Como textile district lets trade visitors combine the show with visits to nearby mills and workshops. In 2026, the fair welcomed 87 exhibiting companies from 14 countries and over 2,500 buyers, with Italy, the UK, the United States, Germany and France leading attendance. Admission is reserved for textile editors, upholstered furniture manufacturers, wholesalers, converters, large retail chains, contract operators and architecture and interior design studios. Entry is free with pre-registration, which reopens in February 2027, and access is granted only with the e-badge sent by email. For professionals travelling from outside the region, staying in Como or Cernobbio simplifies logistics: free shuttle services and a motorboat connection from the Lungolago Mafalda di Savoia pier are available, plus fast train links from Milan in around 40 minutes.
