Salon des Vignerons et des Terroirs 2027 in Calais: where to stay

The Salon des Vignerons et des Terroirs takes over Calais' Forum Gambetta from 5 to 7 February 2027 for its nineteenth edition. Across 1,500 sqm of floor space, more than 30 French estates pour and sell their wines alongside regional food producers, in a format built around tasting, chatting and buying straight from the maker. Expect a gustatory tour of France: Alsace, Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, Jura, the Loire, Provence, Touraine and Savoie, among others. Winemakers staff their own stands, so visitors can ask about vintages, grape varieties and growing methods while stocking up at cellar-door prices. Entry includes a tasting glass and carries no obligation to buy — taste and leave, or take the chance to refill your cellar before the most sought-after bottles sell out. The fair is run by the local agency Coteo and stays deliberately accessible to casual drinkers and hospitality trade alike. Each day runs on a different schedule: a late-afternoon start on Friday, a full day on Saturday, and an early-afternoon close on Sunday. Calais works well as a base for the weekend, letting you walk the fair at an unhurried pace and still have time for the town.
