Independent Winemakers' Wine Fair in Bordeaux 2027

The Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants returns to the Parc des expositions de Bordeaux-Lac from 12 to 14 March 2027, keeping the format that has defined this fair for nearly five decades. Every exhibitor gets the same stand, appellations are deliberately mixed across the aisles, and the winemakers themselves pour behind the counter, ready to talk about vintages, soils and cellar choices. Unlike trade-only shows, this one opens to both the general public and wine professionals. Visitors walk the hall glass in hand, taste reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines from the main French winegrowing regions, and carry away bottles bought straight from the domaine. Buyers, sommeliers, importers and restaurateurs use the fair to scout small producers that rarely appear in mainstream distribution. Bordeaux-Lac draws a heavy flow of exhibitors and attendees over the three days, so hotel availability in the city tightens quickly once dates are confirmed. Staying near the exhibition centre, or in central Bordeaux with a tram link to the venue, keeps the daily commute short and predictable. The organisers keep the usual format: paid admission, a complimentary tasting glass at the entrance, and a side programme of guided tastings and industry sessions. Anyone travelling from outside Nouvelle-Aquitaine will get far better rates by booking accommodation early rather than waiting until the show weekend approaches.
