The Summer Fancy Food Show, now in its 70th year, is one of the food industry's tentpole events and the most convenient way to meet buyers from every major food and beverage buying channel in the United States and abroad. For three days each July, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York fills with thousands of makers, buyers, brokers and distributors. The show floor serves up the newest and best in specialty food and beverage, from small-batch confections and artisanal cheeses to premium oils, plant-based innovations and global imports. Attendees use the show for product discovery, networking and business opportunities, while exhibitors gain direct access to retail and foodservice decision-makers. Organized by the Specialty Food Association (SFA), the event runs under a Trade Public format, meaning only credentialed industry professionals may attend. The Summer edition is complemented by Winter FancyFaire in San Francisco, the sofi Awards program and other SFA events throughout the year. Because the Javits Center sits in Midtown Manhattan, visitors typically book hotels nearby to stay within walking distance of the show floor, the High Line and Hudson Yards. July is peak season in New York, so early accommodation booking is strongly recommended.
