Xantar 2026 in Ourense: 27th International Gastronomic Tourism Fair

Xantar is the International Gastronomic Tourism Fair held every year by Expourense in the city of Ourense, and the only accredited international gastronomic tourism fair in the Iberian Peninsula. Its 27th edition, running from 19 to 22 November 2026, brings together food and wine destinations, protected-origin products, gastronomic brotherhoods and industry professionals from Spain, Portugal and Latin America around quality produce and sustainable tourism. Across four busy days the Expourense halls host around a hundred activities: live cooking shows with leading chefs, guided tastings of wines, spirits, beers and certified products, talks, product launches and open tastings for the public. The International Meeting of Gastronomic and Oenophile Brotherhoods is one of the highlights, along with the gastronomic competitions and the Golden Plate awards for Ourense's hospitality sector. Xantar blends tradition and innovation and welcomes both hospitality and tourism professionals and the general public, who can attend free of charge. The fair serves as the showcase for Galician gastronomy, with strong representation of seafood, DOP cheeses, wines from Galicia's five designations of origin and traditional pastries. With more than 26 editions behind it, Xantar has become a benchmark for gastronomic tourism in north-west Spain. The event takes place entirely at Expourense, on the Finca Sevilla site in Ourense, with over 12 hours of daily activity from Thursday to Saturday and morning opening hours on Sunday.
